Common Imprint
Common Imprint is a reading room project, initiated through The Book Society1, a Seoul-based collective. It will open up part of graphic designers Sam Kim2, Dokho Shin3, and Siyu Mao4 Berlin design studio5 as a library and space for events.
Common Imprint’s reading room presents over 400 independent publications from Asia, open by appointment6 every Friday and Saturday. It aims to create a shared platform and laboratory for investigating publication-related disciplines from South- East– and East Asia. The space will be for anyone who loves books and will host talks, events, workshops, and exhibitions relating to Asian publications in the field of fine art, photography, film, design and architecture.

Gemeinsames Impressum ist ein Reading-Room-Projekt, das von The Book Society1, einem Kollektiv mit Sitz in Seoul, initiiert wurde. Als Bibliothek und Raum für Veranstaltungen wird es Teil des Berliner Designstudios5 der Grafikdesigner Sam Kim2, Dokho Shin3 und Siyu Mao4.
Reading-Room von Gemeinsames Impressum präsentiert über 400 Independent-Publikationen aus Asien und ist jeden Freitag und Samstag nach Anmeldung6 geöffnet. Ziel ist es, eine gemeinsame Plattform und ein Labor für die Erforschung von publizierenden Disziplinen aus Süd-, Ost- und Ostasien zu schaffen. Der Raum ist für alle gedacht, die Bücher lieben, und bietet Vorträge, Veranstaltungen, Workshops und Ausstellungen zu asiatischen Publikationen in den Bereichen Kunst, Fotografie, Film, Design und Architektur.
공동의 출판
공동의 출판은 서울에 기반을 둔 더 북 소사이어티1의 제안으로 시작된 리딩룸 프로젝트입니다. 그래픽 디자이너 김영삼2, 신덕호3, 시유 마오4의 베를린 디자인 스튜디오5의 일부를 활용하여 리딩룸과 이벤트를 위한 공간으로 운영합니다.
공동의 출판 리딩룸은 400여 종의 아시아 독립 출판물이 구비되어 있으며, 매주 금요일과 토요일에 예약제6로 운영됩니다. 이는 동남아시아 및 동아시아의 출판 관련 분야를 연구하는 공유 플랫폼이자 작업실로 활용되는 것을 목표로 합니다. 책을 좋아하는 사람이라면 누구나 이용할 수 있는 공간으로써 미술, 사진, 영화, 디자인, 건축 분야의 아시아 출판물과 관련된 강연, 이벤트, 워크숍, 전시회를 기획합니다.
一般出版
一般出版是由首尔出版组织The Book Society1发起的阅览室项目。它也是平面设计师金荣三2、申道浩3和毛思宇4于柏林创建的活动空间5。
一般出版的阅览室现藏400多本来自亚洲的独立出版物,每周五和周六可预约6阅读。项目的目的是创建一个探讨东南亚和与东亚出版物相关内容的共享平台。这个空间为所有热爱书籍的人开放,并将定期举办与艺术、摄影、电影、设计和建筑等领域有关出版物的讲座、活动、研讨会和展览。

Graphic designer Sam Kim lives and works in Berlin, where he began his career and individual practice after graduating from UdK Berlin in 2016. He works with a focus on strong visual language and systematic implementation. With Common Imprint, he wants to work together people from across the globe, each of whom practices distinctive and tireless modes of publishing.
